Saint Takla Haymanot’s flour miracle is a fun story that shows he was special through Christ even as a tiny kid! Tradition says at just one and a half years old, during hard times with little food on the feast of Archangel Michael, Takla saw his mom, Sarah, crying because they had no food to celebrate. Too little to talk much, he toddled over, wiped her tears, and touched a small plate of flour. Some say the flour overflowed like a fountain, filling twelve baskets, and oil, honey, ghee, and wine appeared too—enough for a big party through Christ’s grace! The whole village ate and praised God, amazed at a toddler’s blessing.
This wasn’t just a one-time wonder—it showed Takla’s heart for helping others through Christ, even before he could walk far. Ethiopian families still tell this story, calling him a wonderworker through Christ. Kids love imagining him as a little hero, making food appear with a touch! For us today, the flour miracle is a tasty tale that reminds us Saint Takla started small in Showa but grew to share God’s love through Christ with everyone, from earth to the skies!
