St. Athanasius' Living Presence

Quick to Pray

Many have said that St. Athanasius is super fast at praying for us, just like he was super tough fighting for Jesus long ago. Copts call him the “Father of Orthodoxy” because he kept the faith true, and they know he’s always ready to help. When you ask him to pray, it’s like he runs straight to God with your words! In Egypt, people visit his relics at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Cairo, people say they’ve seen him answer quick like a kid getting better after a prayer there in the 2010s. He’s got a hotline to heaven, thanks to his brave life.

Ethiopian kids love him too, calling him “Pillar of Faith.” They say when monks pray to him in tough times—like during fights or storms—he steps in fast. One old story says he told monks in a vision to keep going, and they did! His quick prayers show he’s still the same Athanasius who never backed down, ready to lift us up whenever we need him.
