Icons of Pope Kyrillos, with his kind eyes and white beard, are windows to heaven. In Abbasseya’s Saint Mark’s Cathedral, his icon watches over worshippers. One tale says a woman in 2000 prayed before it, jobless and scared, and felt a soft glow of peace; through Kyrillos’ intercession, she found a job soon after. At Zeitoun’s church, one tale says a boy in 2015 felt Kyrillos’ intercession during a feast prayer, and his sister was healed that week. These icons, often painted with Saint Mina, are linked to his intercession, a path to God’s grace.
Miracles surround these icons. In Coptic churches, icons of Kyrillos inspire miracles, like a priest’s recovery after prayer. One tale says a Cairo girl in 2019 lit a candle by his icon, praying for her father’s safety; through God’s grace, he survived a car crash unharmed. These icons inspire faith in God’s grace for those who pray. Copts fill churches to venerate them, and many Orthodox faithful honor them, seeing Kyrillos’ love for Christ. For kids, they’re holy images that inspire prayer, guiding hearts to God.
These icons inspire closeness to Kyrillos’ intercession, guiding us to Christ. They remind us saints pray with us, lighting our way with hope.
