St. Anthony’s miracles didn’t end when he went to heaven in 356—stories say they’re still happening, showing he’s always ready to help! In his desert days, he guided people and fought demons with prayer, and Copts and Ethiopians believe he’s doing it now. A Coptic story tells of a teen hiker lost near his Red Sea Monastery in 2018, out of water and scared. He prayed, “St. Anthony, find me!” and saw a light flicker ahead. Following it, he found monks who saved him, like Anthony’s light from heaven.
In Ethiopia, an old tale from Abba Garima says a sick monk in 2022 prayed before Anthony’s icon. That night, he dreamed Anthony offered him water, and woke up feeling well, ready to work again. Another Ethiopian story tells of bandits long ago trying to rob St. Samuel’s cave, only to see Anthony appear, staff raised, sending them running in fear. These wonders echo Anthony’s life—guiding, healing, protecting. For kids, it’s amazing: Anthony’s not just a story—he’s a monk hero, lighting paths and helping out, never taking a break!
