In Coptic tradition, Pope Kyrillos VI is known as the “Father of Miracles,” a title earned through wonders that inspire faith. Even after 1971, God answers through his intercession. One tale says a mother in Alexandria, in the 1960s, prayed for her lost son and learned through a vision, guided by Kyrillos’ intercession, to find him at Saint Mina’s Monastery. She rushed there and found her child safe with monks. Another story tells of a soldier’s family in 2005, praying before Kyrillos’ icon at Mariut. Through his intercession, the soldier returned unharmed from war. These stories show why Copts visit his shrines, seeking help through God’s grace.
Coptic tradition celebrates his miracles, blessing many beyond Egypt. His devotion to Saint Mina inspires pilgrims, with icons at places like Abbasseya drawing many. One tale says a child in Cairo saw a holy image during prayer, and his sick dog recovered, praising God’s care. For children, Kyrillos is a hero of faith, whose power lies in prayer. His miracles—big like healings, small like answered prayers—show God listens through intercession. Kyrillos’ intercession reflects his love, blessed by Christ.
The “Father of Miracles” title is about trust. Kyrillos’ life of prayer, from windmill to cathedral, built a bridge to God that still stands. Children can learn: ask for his prayers, and trust in God’s will.
